Illustration Friday: Ancient 2

I thought of creating another illustration on the topic, "Ancient". I was playing around with Dogwaffle, Photoshop, and ImageReady. And here's an ancient version of me. Teehee!

Illustration Friday: Ancient

Here is my first artwork using Dogwaffle. The topic for this week is "Ancient". I thought of Adam and Eve. But illustrating the first couple would be a challenge so I thought of the other two memorable things in the story: the apple and the serpent.

Inspired by Nic Squirrell's Illustration

The moment I saw this illustration by Nic, I fell in love with it. I used to have 20 dogs when I was a kid. I know, that's a lot. And that proves how much I've grown connected to these furry creatures. Later in my years, I owned some cats too. Sassy is the name of my favorite kitten. And then there's Ming too.

Goin' back to this illo, I've asked permission from Nic if I could do my own version. Using acrylic, I've created one, paying attention to details. And now, the artwork is framed and awaiting to be hanged on my wall.

My Cats

I remember doing this in Windows Paint program. There's an article in Time magazine about "The Lion King" more than a decade ago and that became my inspiration for this artwork. I just used a mouse on this one.
